The Prodigal Son is Coming Home

It's Time To Come Home

Hos 2:21-23

And it shall come to pass in that day, I will answer, saith Jehovah, I will answer the heavens, and they shall answer the earth; and the earth shall answer the grain, and the new wine, and the oil; and they shall answer Jezreel. (God sows or God plants)

And I will sow her unto me in the earth; and I will have mercy upon her that had not obtained mercy; and I will say to them that were not my people, Thou art my people; and they shall say, Thou art my God.

I recently received this scripture from the Lord. I have been meditating upon this for some time now. As I am currently in a place of weakness in my life, I find myself extremely reliant on Godís grace and strength to see me through. But this word speaks to me so loud that I cannot ignore it.

I sense God is getting ready to do something incredible and supernatural in the GLBT communities of the world in the New Year. The best way to describe it is to liken it to the story of the Prodigal Son recorded in Luke 15:11 Ė 32.

Here we have the story of a son who decided to leave the household of his Father with his portion of the inheritance, and go into the world. After he spent all his money, he found himself looking after another manís pigs in a place of poverty. He then came to his senses and decided to return to the household of his father. Some things God pointed out to me was that the father saw this man coming at a distance. He then felt compassion in his heart and ran out to meet him. He ordered that the son be given a new robe, a new ring on his finger and the fattened calf be prepared so that the whole household could celebrate and feast together.

While this may just be a story we have all heard before, I believe God is saying at this time that a prodigal son is about to come home. I have been getting an overwhelming sense of compassion from the throne room lately and often find myself weeping with compassion in Godís presence.

God is saying that the prodigal son is about to return. God can see him walking in the distance. He is tired, looking worn and his clothes are but rags.

ďBut while he was yet afar off, his father saw him, and was moved with compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him."

There is going to be a homecoming and it will be a glorious one. It will also be a time when the son who remained home will be exposed for his loveless ness. He was not happy with the situation. He has been serving his father faithfully, and feels that he got the raw end of the stick. The Bible says he was angry.

I sense this is a type of the mainstream straight church that we see today. When God restores the GLBT community and calls the celebration, there will be those churches, organizations and ministries who will feel they got a bad deal. They have been serving God faithfully, running their churches, serving their communities teaching their congregations and equipping their saints. They feel there is no reward for them. They did not gather the harvest they were hoping for and laboring for nothing all this time.

Let us look again at the portion of scripture from Hos 2. There is a cry. There is a call coming from the heavens. God says He will respond to that cry. The heavens will answer the earth and the earth will respond with grain, new wine and oil.

Grain is needed to produce bread. Bread and wine is what Jesus served as the last supper, and is a symbol of the Body of Christ. Oil is a type of the Holy Spirit and speaks of the anointing. Do we see the Body of Christ, the church with a new anointing? Is this an indication of a change happening to Church as we know it? Signs and incredible wonders at the hands of gay Christians? Miracles by those gay Christians you would least expect it from? YES!! Revival being poured out upon this earth through God's gay people?? YES!! YES!! YES!! Holy Ghost filled, Power filled, anointed gay and lesbian Christians will rock this planet with the power of God!

Notice how God then says in v23 that He will then call a people who were not a people His people, and they will respond and call Him their God. This portion of scripture is also very prophetic of the Gay communities of the world as we come into being before God.

To all the people of the world who are waiting to take your rightful place as Godís gay and lesbian people, it is a good day for us, a good time to celebrate. Our God saw us coming in the distance. He is overcome with compassion. He is rushing out to meet us. He will put a new robe on us. He will order the servants to prepare the feast for us. He will show us off to the world and display His power and wonders through us. It does not matter if the straight mainstream churches get angry. God will stand up and resolve this on our behalf.
