    Matthew 5:3-12 (Masayo)

    Sermon on the mount. Blessed are the poor in spirit,

    for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are those

    who mourn for they shall be comforted. Blessed are

                         those who hunger and thirst for righteousness for they

                         shall be filled. Blessed are the pure in heart for they

                         shall see God. Blessed are the peacemakers for they

                         will be called the sons of God.

  Seek first the kingdom of God and all these things shall

  be given to you as well.

  Focus on today and do not worry about tomorrow.

  Ask and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find.

  Knock and it will be opened unto you.

 

 

 

  Matthew 10:16-20(Masayo)

  I am sending you out like sheep among wolves.

  Therefore be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as

  doves. If you are brought before others in authority on

                       account of Me, do not worry about what to say or how

                       say it. At that time you will be given what to say, for it

                       will not be you speaking, but the Spirit of your Father

                       speaking through you.

 

  Matthew 10:28-31 (Masayo)

  Do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the

  soul. Only reverently fear God who knows the values the

  smallest of creatures and knows the count of the very

                       hairs on your head. Do not fear therefore; you are of

                       more value than many sparrows.

 

  Matthew 11:28-29 (Masayo)

  Come to Me all you who labor and are heavy leaden

  and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and

  learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and

                       you will find rest for your souls.

 

  Matthew 16:16-19 (Masayo)

  You are Peter and upon this rock I will build my church,

  and the gates of Hades will not overcome it. I will give

  you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, whatever you

                       bind on earth will be bound in heaven and whatever you

                       loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.

 

  Matthew 18:18-20 (Masayo)

  If any two of you agree on earth concerning anything that

  they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in

  heaven (Luke 22:42; Isaiah 43:25-26). For where two or

                       three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the

                       midst of them. (note: also see  John 15:5-8)

 

  Matthew 21:9 (Masayo)

   Then the multitudes who went before and those who

   followed cried out, saying: "Hosanna to the Son of

   David! 'Blessed is He who comes in the name of the

                        LORD! 'Hosanna in the highest!"
