1 Thessalonians

  1 Thessalonians 5:8-11(Masayo)

   Put on the breastplate of faith and love, and the helmet

   our hope of salvation. For God did not appoint us to

   wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus

                        Christ. Therefore comfort and edify one another, just as

                        you are also doing.

 

  1 Thessalonians 5:14-22 (Masayo)

   Warn those who are unruly, comfort the fainthearted,

    uphold the weak, be patient with all. See that no one

    renders evil for evil to anyone but always pursue what

                          is good for all. Rejoice always, pray without ceasing

                          and in everything give thanks. Do not quench the Spirit

                          (Eph 4:30-32) and do not scoff at prophecies. Instead

                           test them and hold fast to what is good (1 Cor 12:7-11,

                                    14:15, 29-33; Matt 7:16-20; 1 John 4:1-3; Eph 4:30-32).

 

  1 Thessalonians 5:23-24 (Masayo)

  May the God of peace sanctify you through and

  through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept

  blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. The

                        one who calls you is faithful and He will do it.
