How is God with us?

Truly God is with us. No matter the circumstances in the world today, God is with us. What does God want from us? God wants us to open our eyes, to hear the angels in unexpected voices, to go      see the Savior of the world.

We need to stop and listen to God before we do something rash and step out of His will, hurting ourselves and others in the  process.

The Word Became Flesh

"And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth." (John 1:14 NKJV)

Salvation's work is simply & irrevocably done by Jesus on the cross. Salvation's grace cannot be earned through 'good' works or by changing ones sexual orientation. It can only be accepted through faith.

Does it seem like the struggle to end anti-gay bias within the church is taking an inordinate amount of time? If we look at civil rights movements that predate ours

we gain some valuable insight and    realize that the struggle is rarely over in a year or two. It may take generations.

5,301 churches by the end of 2008, an increase of 495 churches from the previous year. The main line denominations again the led the way however the movement has rapidly become a world wide phenomena.

4,806 churches by the end of 2007, an increase of 576 churches over the past year alone. Growth took place across almost all of the denominations with many of the early forerunners again stepping to the fore.

Phenomenal grow (again!) across all denominations. Clearly the Holy Spirit is at work and "Rainbow Revival" is breaking out. For all the details - where the growth took place, which denominations are numerically at the forefront of this movement? The report has it all.

2005 Welcoming Church Survey

A year marked by growth across almost all the denominations with new denominations being added all the time. How many new churches were added this year? How are these churches spread across the various denominations? It's all here.

1 Thess 1:5 (NIV) "… our gospel came to you not simply with words, but also with power, with the Holy Spirit and with deep conviction.”

In three years time, God has opened up almost as many church doors to the gay and lesbian community as has been opened in the previous thirty years combined. This has occurred during some of the worst anti-gay sentiment we have seen since the inception of the gay Christian movement some thirty some odd years ago.

An interesting correlation between prophetic words spoken over the Body of Christ as a whole over the last 10+ years and recent prophecy specifically addressed to the gay community.

Why is the Church is 'missing' it and is growing further away from the heart and soul of God's Word and towards a gospel that preaches intolerance and discrimination? Judgment is coming, but it will start start first with the Church.

We are the sacrificial lamb and the acceptable “scapegoat” that both political parties are willing to serve up to the American public. Thank God that He isn't done yet with us or with this issue just yet!

For "whosoever" believes in His name shall  be saved!

Several denominations and para-religious groups 'accept' homosexuals if they are "non practicing" (i.e. celibate). Is this      scriptural?

Our lives give testimony to the God we serve.

Unfortunately fear and prejudice are not new to the Church. Jesus suffered at the hands of the Pharisees and the Gentiles from the Christian Jews. We are not alone.

We are living in a time of transition. Both individually and corporately as the Church.

God is preparing our community and the entire Body of Christ for the next 'big thing'. But this move of God will be unlike any other the Church has ever seen - and 'we' (i.e. the homosexual community) are an integral part of God's plan! But this move comes with a warning - we must change...

Separation of Church ... and Homosexuality

The Federal Marriage Amendment put forth by Rev. Jerry Falwell attempts to enforce the religious beliefs of one segment society onto the society as a whole. This is in direct conflict with the principle of separation of Church and state which has been the hallmark of our country for over 200 years.

There are ways of embracing risk and passion, of allowing the church to speak in ways that aren't determined by the marketplace. In the end, there is virtually no limit to what might be done with proclamation, and the presence of the Word of God in our midst is license to think freely and creatively about how to bear witness to what we have encountered in Jesus Christ.
